Whether you're a college hoops expert or a casual fan, it’s still a lot to take in. You could analyze every angle, study every stat, watch all the game film—and still get it wrong. After all, they call it "madness" for a reason.
No matter how you approach it, you have to make your picks before the games tip off. Those first-round decisions can be tricky—if you’re struggling, I highly recommend Isaac Trotter’s excellent breakdown of every matchup. It might make you second-guess yourself, but trust me, you'll get through it.
Personally, I like to let things settle for a bit after Selection Sunday. Every year, a "First Four" team seems to make it to the second round, so those games definitely deserve attention. Now that those are behind us, it's time to stop overthinking, stop second-guessing, and stop searching for more info (even though there’s plenty out there). We’ve got deadlines, after all.
