After all the research and analysis, the moment has finally arrived—it's time to finalize your picks.
Preparing for the NCAA Tournament feels like trying to drink from a firehose. In just minutes on Selection Sunday, 68 teams are announced. Then comes the flood of preview content, which you can (and should) dive into until your brain hits its limit.
Looking for detailed breakdowns of all 68 teams? We’ve got you covered. Need expert picks? We’ve got them too. Interested in upset trends? We've got those. Looking for potential Cinderellas? Yep, we've got those too.
Whether you're a college hoops expert or a casual fan, it’s still a lot to take in. You could analyze every angle, study every stat, watch all the game film—and still get it wrong. After all, they call it "madness" for a reason.
No matter how you approach it, you have to make your picks before the games tip off. Those first-round decisions can be tricky—if you’re struggling, I highly recommend Isaac Trotter’s excellent breakdown of every matchup. It might make you second-guess yourself, but trust me, you'll get through it.
Personally, I like to let things settle for a bit after Selection Sunday. Every year, a "First Four" team seems to make it to the second round, so those games definitely deserve attention. Now that those are behind us, it's time to stop overthinking, stop second-guessing, and stop searching for more info (even though there’s plenty out there). We’ve got deadlines, after all.
So here we are: one sentence for each of my 63 picks in the bracket. Last year went pretty well, despite all the madness. Let’s see how this year shakes out.
