Jets Report Card: Robert Saleh’s squad appeared outmatched and outclassed by the 49ers.

 Offense:

Despite Aaron Rodgers' return to the lineup, the Jets' offense struggled throughout the game. Rodgers went 13-of-21 for 167 yards, with 1 touchdown and 1 interception, showing occasional flashes of brilliance but failing to sustain consistent drives. The team managed only 49 plays, unable to maintain offensive momentum. Running back Breece Hall, who rushed 16 times for 54 yards and caught 5 passes for 39 yards, faced difficulty finding space behind the revamped offensive line and had a crucial fumble early in the game.

Defense:
With Christian McCaffrey declared inactive, there was hope that the Jets' defense might have a breakthrough night. However, backup Jordan Mason stepped up, rushing for 147 yards on 28 carries and scoring a touchdown, proving to be a significant challenge for the Jets' defense.

The Jets surrendered 401 yards to the 49ers and struggled to stop them on third down, with San Francisco scoring on eight consecutive possessions. Additionally, the Jets' pass rush was ineffective throughout the game.

Special Teams:
Thomas Morstead once again stood out as one of the Jets' most impactful players, delivering a key 60-yard punt that significantly shifted field position. The new kickoff return strategy yielded limited results, with Xavier Gipson's longest return reaching only 28 yards.

Coaching:
The Jets appeared overmatched on Monday night, showing a clear disparity between them and the 49ers. While San Francisco is a strong team, the Jets were expected to be competitive; instead, it felt like a mismatch, with the Jets playing the role of the JV team against the varsity.

Robert Saleh needs to find solutions and tighten up the team's performance. Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett failed to instill confidence, even with Aaron Rodgers on the field. Overall, the Jets were outcoached by Kyle Shanahan.
